Publisher's Note
The past month has seen torrential rainfall in India causing damage to life and property, especially in the northern part of India. My condolences to those who have been affected by these events, and pray that life restores to normal at the earliest.
We received many responses to our May-June edition, and in particular many of our readers requested some more information on 'How to optimize the State of Lubrication', which we have covered in this issue as well as included material on linking enhanced reliability to the state of lubrication.
The July-August issue is a landmark issue as we complete our first annual cycle of Machinery Lubrication India. We would like to thank our subscribers and advertisers for all the support. In our continued effort to ensure maximum lubrication/systems optimization for our readers, the cover story of this issue is 'How to achieve Gear coupling reliability'. Gear couplings are among the most commonly used methods for connecting process equipment. It has often been noticed that not following the basic fundamentals leads to larger losses over a period of time due to break downs. This article covers design, selection, sizing, installation, lubrication & maintenance of gear couplings.
We have received a lot of requests from Indian as well as overseas subscribers to make Machinery Lubrication India available over the internet. Starting this issue we are launching our digital version which will be emailed to our subscribers. You may subscribe by emailing us at info@machinerylubricationindia.com.
We are also proud to announce that MachineryLubricationIndia.com is now mobile friendly. You may now access your favorite articles via your hand held devices.
